Winning Moves Games Brings Mix Of Classics And New Concepts

Bringing some of the most beloved children’s stories to the world of games and creating new, original game concepts, Winning Moves Games will open its toy chest full of games for the entire family at the American International Toy Fair in New York,.

We’re introducing games based on the best children’s stories and game properties in history, as well as offering original game concepts, like Play on Words, which we believe represent the next generation of classic games, explained Winning Moves Games President Phil Orbanes, who is currently authoring the book, Game Makers: A History of Parker Brothers, tracking the development of many of the world’s most popular games.

Originally introduced as a parlor game in the 1800s, Bunco is back on the scene, with friends getting together for Bunco nights. Box of Bunco from Winning Moves Games includes everything you need to host your own Bunco night for as few as two players or as many as twelve. The game includes dice, score pads and a bell to announce the beginning and end of each round. There are six rounds of play in which players must try to roll 1s, 2s, 3s, and so on. Roll three of the same number and that’s a Bunco! Light competition and lots of opportunities for conversation make Bunco the perfect party game.

Children enter the amazing world of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory with the first board-game rendition of Roald Dahl’s timeless story. Players race around the board - a chocolate river - and visit different rooms within the factory in order to collect the six candy cards needed to win the game. Players must resist the temptation of grabbing too many pieces of candy, or they’ll be sent to the Juicing Room! Not to worry, though, as Willy Wonka and the Oompa Loompas are there to help children navigate their way through the world’s most famous chocolate factory.

Just like in Hans Christian Andersen’s beloved fairy tale The Princess and the Pea, the prince is searching for a real princess. Little girls move their princess beds along the game board, stacking mattresses as they go and trying to build the highest bed. The princess who reaches the crown space with the most mattresses stacked on her bed is the real princess - sensitive enough to feel the real pea of course! - and wins the game.

Rubik’s Tac Toe is a fast-moving, easy-to-learn, two-player game. Players go head-to-head in a battle of wits, trying to be the first to create a row of three tiles - while thwarting the opponent from doing the same! The game is over in a maximum of eight turns, so you can pick up and play Rubik’s Tac Toe just about any time. The game comes in the classic Rubik’s colors and a plastic carrying case to easily take it on the road.

An original game by Winning Moves, Play on Words is a progressive card game in which players lay down words using letter cards, and then try to win by playing on each other’s words. The intensity mounts with each round, as you try to use the remaining letter cards in your hand to change or add words that have been played. Ten rounds of fun!

This tile game - a sort-of cribbage-meets-poker game - is extremely popular in Canada and makes its way to the U.S. in 2003. The fun of Cribbage play is extended as players build off of each other’s cribbage hand - with three of a kind, four of a kind, etc. - in crossword style fashion. This kingly edition contains a rotating gameboard, wooden tiles and tile holders and a cloth tile bag.

Step back in time to 1949 with this fine first-edition replica of CLUE The Great Detective Game. This faithful rendition features original artwork and replicas of game pieces that were used in the 1949 edition. It comes with a beautifully illustrated Clue Memories booklet that chronicles the Clue game through the years and contains enhanced rules of play with special hints. A wonderful gift for the game-player on your list!

The legendary question and answer game is back with updated questions for a new generation. Quiz questions are divided into three knowledge levels: Student , Scholar and Graduate, so everyone can play together. Subjects include: Art/Music, Geography, History, Language/Literature, Math and Science. The first player to reach the head of the class and answer a final exam question wins!

Winning Moves Games is a leading maker of classic card games, children’s educational games and family games. Founded in 1995 and working closely with toy and game industry leaders, such as Hasbro, Inc. and Rubik’s, Winning Moves makes special editions of many of the world’s most popular games and creates new, original game concepts for all ages to enjoy.
