Mythic Entertainment’s Hit Game Ready For Further Worldwide Growth
Mythic Entertainment, creator of the award winning massively multiplayer online role-playing game Dark Age of Camelot, today announced that the game has surpassed the 200,000 mark for active subscribers in North America and Europe. Dark Age of Camelot, the fastest selling pay-for-play in the history of online gaming, is developed by Mythic Entertainment and co-published with Abandon Entertainment.
We have no doubt struck a chord among gaming enthusiasts, as more people are introduced to this mythological fantasy called Dark Age of Camelot, said Mark Jacobs, President of Mythic Entertainment. We’re thrilled that the game has reached the 200,000 subscriber point so quickly, and we look forward to bringing the game to even more players throughout the world.
In another exciting recent development, Dark Age of Camelot is getting set to enter the world’s largest market, South Korea. The game has recently entered the first phase of beta testing in preparation for a late summer 2002 release. We believe Dark Age of Camelot’s entry into Korea and other markets later this year will ensure continued growth for the game, said Jacobs.
