Game Show Network Is Giving Away Hundreds Of Prizes All Summer Long

Game Show Network, the 24-hour cable network devoted exclusively to game shows and interactive game play, is giving away 60 prizes a week to randomly selected viewers who log on and play one of the company’s four interactive sync-to-broadcast TV games via its website. The summer long promotion titled Connect & Collect Sweepstakes was crafted by GSN’s marketing department to serve as an additional platform for its advertisers. Kraft Foods, Tresemme and Discover Card have already signed on as the first Sweepstakes’ sponsors. The Connect & Collect Sweepstakes is easy to play and the more times you play the more chances you have to win.

The many prizes include Sony digital still cameras, Sony Network Walkmans, MP3 players, Sony DVD players and GSN t-shirts. In making the announcement, Dena Kaplan, senior vice president of marketing, GSN, said: “The weekly Connect & Collect Sweepstakes encourages our viewers to watch and play along with our interactive games and our sponsor’s commercials for more chances to win. Connect & Collect offers GSN advertisers a unique added value interactive opportunity that makes their commercial part of the game.

We look forward to developing more ways for viewers, sponsors and distributors to watch, play and win with Game Show Network. Michael Sakin, senior vice president, advertising sales, GSN said: The Connect & Collect Sweepstakes is a perfect example of the added value that we bring to our sponsors over and above what’s available from traditional cable programmers.

Aside from a unique, targeted platform, our iTV sponsors receive measured feedback about their commercials instantaneously. The weekly Connect & Collect Sweepstakes officially kicked off Monday, June 17 and continues through Sunday, September 8. Viewers who log on and play the interactive TV games for Whammy!-The All New Press Your Luck, Greed, Friend or Foe? or Russian Roulette will automatically be entered for that week’s sweepstakes and will receive one entry for each game played.

Three bonus entries into the Sweepstakes are awarded when participants who are playing either Whammy!, Friend or Foe? or Russian Roulette games answer bonus questions correctly about the commercial sponsors and/or general game show related trivia that appear during each game.
