Chess Software Beta Release From Ingenuware, Ltd.

In a flurry of excitement today, Ingenuware released the initial Beta version of their computer chess program, ChessRally 2. Ingenuware's prior versions of their chess program were called I-Chess. In a bold marketing initiative, the managing directors of Ingenuware decided to change the name to ChessRally. They felt the new name would be more enticing to new and existing users alike.

The new version of their chess program will completely replace and surpass the old in every way. The previous version of the software was capable of peer to peer chess gaming over the Internet only, while the new version sports an Email Correspondence mode, Direct Network mode, Single Player against a computer opponent, and a new service, the Online Rally Rooms, where players can meet, chat, play, and watch games at their leisure in a lobby setting.

Another thing different in ChessRally 2 is the fact that it is no longer entirely free the product has been divided into two editions, Free Edition and Gold Edition.
