Michigan Man Drubbles His Way Into The Trivial Pursuit
When the TRIVIAL PURSUIT 20th ANNIVERSARY EDITION Game hits store shelves this month, players will have to know a thing or two about Riley McLincha of Clio, Michigan. McLincha’s rare talent of drubbling – dribbling and juggling three basketballs while running marathons – has earned him a place in history as a TRIVIAL PURSUIT question in this special edition game.
McLincha’s question about drubbling was selected from more than 800 entries submitted in Hasbro, Inc’s Be In The TRIVIAL PURSUIT Game Contest. The month-long contest, which ran in February, called for consumers to submit a proposed TRIVIAL PURSUIT question about a unique happening or event in which they participated. In keeping with the 20th anniversary spirit, this unique feat must have occurred between the years 1982 and 2002.
While McLincha’s rare talent of dribbling and juggling three basketballs may seem trivial, his pursuit is anything but. McLincha takes his drubbling skills to the street in marathons across the country to raise funds for cancer research.
When asked how he felt about being selected as the sole winner of this contest, McLincha replied, It’s really cool! I was one of the first players in the early 1980s to buy the game. In fact, now whenever I play with my family, it’s usually them playing against me. If there was ever a game that I should be in, this is the one.
