Hoyle Solitaire and Mahjong Tiles tests players' skills with 50 different versions each of the most loved games of all time. Crossword wizards will be challenged by Hoyle Crosswords' 500 challenging puzzles written on virtual paper that won't tear when erased. Perfect for Mother's and Father's Day gifts, these games offer endless replay, an easy-to-use interface, and the attention to rules and fun that are synonymous with Hoyle games. Hoyle Solitaire and Mahjong Tiles and Hoyle Crosswords join the popular Hoyle CD-ROM series from Sierra On-Line, Inc., which has sold more than 2.68 million copies since 1997.
Hoyle Crosswords features 500 puzzles that will challenge crossword fans. The game offers hints for tricky words, as well as options to save and play later or print puzzles to play the old fashioned way with a pencil. Hoyle Crosswords features the Webster's New World(r) College Dictionary, Fourth Edition so players can search for words and definitions. Customizable player preferences such as skill level, backgrounds and music enhance the gameplay experience. Because the game can be played without the CD, it is perfect for laptop users. Hoyle Crosswords is easy to install and navigate with a clear and intuitive interface. Hoyle Crosswords can be played alone or with others over the Internet or on one computer.
Hoyle Solitaire and Mahjong Tiles offers new and endless variations of these classic and popular games. Hoyle Solitaire and Mahjong Tiles features 50 different solitaire card games including 22 new variations new to the Hoyle series. Players can fine-tune skills playing single-deck classics such as Klondike and Pyramid, new double-deck games such as Forty Thieves and Spider and new video arcade-style games such as Fast 21 and 3 Towers. Other solitaire features include easier-to-read cards with larger numbers, detailed tutorials on game rules, and customizable options for card deck backs and faces, music and background screens.
This new version of classic mahjong tiles offers traditional Mahjong Tiles games and two new mahjong variations. In Memory Tiles, players compete to find matching pairs in the lowest number of turns. The second new variation, Gravity Tiles, challenges players to remove matched sets of tiles from columns. Twenty new tile layouts for classic Mahjong tiles have been added for a total of over 60 layouts in the game.
