The ‘Dark Age of Camelot’ experience keeps expanding, and new players can delve right into the incredibly rich and varied gameplay with the Platinum Edition, said Mark Jacobs, president and CEO of Mythic Entertainment.
Whether it is the lands of ‘Shrouded Isles,’ the ‘Trials of Atlantis’ or the unique challenge of Realm vs. Realm combat which we recently reinvented with the release of ‘New Frontiers,’ a world of challenges awaits fans of role-playing games.
Dark Age of Camelot: Platinum Edition is distributed by Vivendi Universal Games in North America, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
About Dark Age of Camelot: Platinum Edition
Platinum Edition players will have access to the vast array of gameplay options offered in Shrouded Isles, Foundations, Trials of Atlantis, and New Frontiers. Shrouded Isles, Dark Age of Camelot’s first expansion pack, extends the original game, and increases the action with new character classes, races, continents, monster models and advanced AI, weapons, and quests.
Foundations adds customizable real estate to Mythic’s online world by enabling players and guilds to pick the neighborhood they want to live in, choose the perfect lot, and then select a house style that fits their taste and budget. Players can decorate the house’s interior and exterior, and use the dwelling as a base for a home business.
For higher level characters, Trials of Atlantis offers a new world of challenges based on the mysterious underwater world of Atlantis. Intense group play, three all-new races, and amazing graphical upgrades throughout Dark Age of Camelot await those that take on the Trials.
Dark Age of Camelot’s latest expansion, New Frontiers, reinvents the unique Realm versus Realm combat system, Mythic’s take on Player vs. Player play. New Frontiers makes battles more accessible to players, deepens the tactical possibilities and diversity of warfare styles, and establishes a concrete rewards system for Realm vs. Realm combat.
