The Game Of Operation Can Come To A Shocking End!
There are many board games that are made to appeal to children. Operation is one with a fun twist in that it has an electrical component that makes it more interesting for children. The game board is made to look like an operating table with “Sam” the patient lying on top of it. The patient has 12 body cavities exposed that require a great deal of skill to treat. As Sam lies upon the red operating table, players must perform delicate procedures to remove offending body parts. Each player acts as a doctor and takes turns performing the necessary surgery and taking care not to set off any alarms. The game of Operation is a game of skill with tweezers and a steady hand.
If the player charged to remove one of the body parts should happen to touch the sides of the body with the tweezers they will be in for a shock. Contact between the tweezers and the metal lining on the sides will put a sudden end to their days of surgery on that patient. It is a game intended for children but adults get a good charge out of it as well. It is a family game for all ages to enjoy together.
Operation is one of the few games that have not made a big leap into the Internet gaming arena. It does not lend itself very well to cyber play as it relies on a steady hand and tweezers to play.
